What your role?

“As a designer, I’m busy with coming up and designing creative challenges for various brands. Using image, text and photography. But mainly using the essence of the brand. What is the brand trying to portray, what is the goal of the expression, who/what are they trying to reach? Preferably from a communication strategy perspective, so that the goal, concept and graphic design are aligned and complement each other. Sometimes by using a powerful text and other times maybe by using impressing visuals. Or even a beautiful combination of both of those. As we work with a creative and strategic team it is possible to use each other’s strengths, which results in the ability to translate the story into a graphic design that is appealing to the target audience.”

HOw do you make it matter?

“I try to get the people moving and I like to push the creative boundaries to be able to tell the story of our client in a good way. Everybody is touched differently. That is why it is important to understand what the message and context are first. I like to surprise the client by suggesting ideas that they couldn’t come up with. Did my design contribute to the remembrance of the clients’ message and are their goals achieved? Then I deem it a successful project!”

What are you working on at the moment?

“I’m always simultaneously working on numerous projects. One thing I just finished is a creative design of a campaign. During one of our Brand Accelerator session, we created the concept in co-creation with the client. Currently, I’m busy with a couple of online events that are planned for this year. Together with the team I design the look & feel and the visual identity of the online events. Furthermore, I also design displays and other POS materials for shops and I’m working on the design of a site and video-on-demand platform. Every project differs from the others and that is what makes my job so diverse and fun!”
