WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?

“As I’m a user experience designer it is my task to create a positive online user experience for websites, apps, games and other software. This is done by conducting user research, developing prototypes, making interactive designs, and designing a user interface. Besides that, I also oversee various online projects and when issues arise, I solve these with the help of my colleagues.“ 

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT MATTER?

“To design the most fitting user experience I try to see things from the visitors’ perspective. After that, I extensively test the design with users and change things according to the feedback I receive. For me, the most important thing is that I give the client a ‘wow’ feeling and make them proud of the result. Only if that happens the design is successful. After having, for example, launched a website, I analyse the data to make aimed changes and optimise the website. With a higher number of visitors or higher conversion rates being the main goals.” 

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT?

“We designed an online tool for consultants. Consultants visit companies to give them advice. This tool can help them directly give fitting advice, as it calculates everything with the entered data. For another client, we have renewed their entire website. It is a platform with one main website and 30 sub-websites. Currently, we are analysing the website step by step and apply changes where needed. This results in a vastly improved number of visitors with a growth of 20% and also a 34% growth in subscriptions.”
