THE POWER OF A GOOD LANDING PAGE
We often see a website as a virtual shop window. Keeping the website up to date asks a lot of attention. Surprisingly the average conversion for a site lays between 1 and 3 % according to studies. This means only a small part of the website traffic convert.
The homepage of a website is less focussed towards a specific action and more aimed towards the masses. A landing page (which is also known as a lead-capture page) helps the website by being a platform that converts visitors into leads. The goal of a landing page is to tell your visitors what you want them to do and why they should do so. This is why landing pages are often used in campaigns. You often see that visitors are being redirected from an (online) advertisement or another webpage.
On average, landing pages have a conversion rate of 5-15%, which means it is a lot higher than websites. Despite this, landing pages can be overshadowed by a homepage or other product pages.
